What Is 'The Green Flash'?
   Volume 1: A Super Villian

About Us:

The Green Flash is a flash fiction literary magazine published quarterly out of Chicago, Illinois. We publish stories told in 1,000 words or fewer that are wildly visual, immediately engaging, and fully complete. Also, we enjoy publishing offbeat comics.

Editors:

Editor-in-Chief: Ryan Duke
Ryan Duke will earn is BA in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago in May of ’08. His flash fiction work has been published in The Story Week Reader, and StickBall Magazine. He was voted “Most Likely to Succeed” and “Most Talented” by his graduating preschool class of ’89. Ryan is currently looking for writing/editing jobs or internships in Chicago. He can be contacted at ryan.duke@loop.colum.edu.

Fiction Editor: Molly Tolsky
Molly Tolsky is currently studying fiction writing at Columbia College Chicago with plans to graduate in May. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Pindeldyboz, The 2nd Hand, and Hair Trigger. And if you haven't noticed, she's the prettiest of The Green Flash editors.

Fiction Editor: Tia Hanke-Hills
Tia Hanke-Hills is a fiction writing major at Columbia College in Chicago, and a soon-to-be graduated lady. She has been eating a lot of sushi lately, and is hoping that she hasn't ingested too much mercury by doing so. She enjoys writing flash fiction, and looks forward to doing more of it in the near and distant future. This bio was written on a yellow legal pad.

Cartoon Editor: Damian Fazio
Damian M. Fazio is a Chicago native trapped in the ether, sending out his observations from time-to-time. He works on a wide variety of projects, including an independent comic book called ‘The Citadel’ (hitting the net soon), an array of paintings, a comic strip, and writing and editing for this prestigious publication, all in the hope that one of them will be his ticket out of mundane paycheck-to-paycheck work. To get in touch with Damian you may use a series of tubes (aka the internet). Please address all questions and concerns to damianfazio@yahoo.com.

Print Design: Ronnie Polidoro
Ronnie Polidoro, a man of film, video, television and design. He's a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago and a former Barnes & Noble bookslave. Ronnie currently does freelance production and post-production work for NBC Universal and graphic designs for La Costa Theatre Company and The Green Flash. He resides in Long Island, NY. [insert witty line here]

Web Design: Ben Tolsky
After majoring in the usual combo (Math and Philosophy) from the University of Illinois and spending a year abroad at the University of Melbourne, Ben Tolsky is off to prove that you don't need to be a doctor to go to school for eight years. He will attend the Illinois Institute of Technology seeking his Masters Degree in Architecture. He also plays underwater hockey. Yeah, you read that right: Underwater Hockey.

Public Relations: Carly Pribyl
What can we say about Carly Pribyl? Well to start lets say she should send us a bio.
